A powerful cast of Dante Alighieri after the original sculpture by Albert Carrier-Belleuse, the present example captures the powerful figure with his iconic laurel crown and pensive expression. It is beautifully cast with a medium-brown overall surface patina and is situated over a rouge marble base that rests on a gilt bronze rim.
