CLASSICAL TURNED MAHOGANY AND TUFTED LEATHER DINING CHAIRS
A set of 6 | England, ca. late 19th century
Item # 309KJT22Z
A gorgeous set of six Classical chairs, they develop on elements of the William IV era to create a vibrant and timeless presentation. The frames are carved and turned out of solid mahogany with a very elaborate front leg featuring a complex series of ring turnings over the tapering fluted leg with turned ankles raised over original castors. The crest rail is beautifully made with a central baluster with generous reeding flanked by tapered posts set into the molded stiles on either side. They retain vintage leather upholstery which is beautifully tufted in the back. Incredibly comfortable and so beautiful, they are a fine acquisition for any classical dining room.
