Featuring a rectangular elongated form of gilded molded-gesso borders of anthemion, acanthus and bead-and-dart motif with painted grounds embellished at each corner by bas-relief lion's heads around an upper central gilded ovular panel depicting a classically dressed woman standing between two lions, her hand outstretched to pet one on the head. The early bevelled edge mirror shows only minor silvering losses. The bottom panel of the frame features a bas-relief framed motif of sea creatures morphing into scrolling acanthus. It is beautifully decorated while still remaining austere and restrained.
