BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD AND BRUSHED-STEEL MEDIA SHELF CONSOLE
Jacob Jensen for Bang & Olufsen | Denmark | retains original label | circa 1980s
Item # 311LEJ02P
This unique media console, both chic and practical, stands out as a rare vintage treasure. Designed by Jacob Jensen for Bang & Olufsen in the 1980s, the console features a combination of brushed steel and rosewood/palisander veneers with great attention to detail given in selecting the best timbers in a way that showcases the diverse wood grain. The costly use of exquisitely machined brushed-steel throughout is incredibly effective - the steel is inset to the corners to protect the veneers and the entire piece is raised on square sleigh legs.
This piece is tailor-made for audiophiles. It includes two vertical enameled steel dividers for neatly storing media upright and one horizontal shelf. Compact in size, measuring just 28 1/2" in width, it's perfect for space-conscious collectors who don't want to sacrifice style or utility.
Measurements: 24 1/8" H x 14" D x 28 1/2" W
Condition Report:
A spot of wear to the lower shelf, which can be re-colored upon request; overall exquisite original condition with a vibrant surface throughout; light scuffs/scratches to the brushed-steel throughout; minor scuffing to the enameled steel shelves.
